San Diego has a lot to see and do, and a wide variety of places to stay. But if you’re looking for something near the bay, close proximity to public parks and Sea World, we would suggest the Mission Bay Resort. It’s situated right on the bay, so you’re just steps from the water and sand.
This hotel is spread out over a wide space, offering pockets of open lawns to gather and play, with a large chess board and several corn hole games scattered throughout the property. And this location is great for those who enjoy long walks or runs along the water, or who desire a quick and easy way to rent some bikes or water toys in close proximity to the hotel. During our visit, they had a variety of activities including a nighttime outdoor movie with popcorn, beach side s’mores and morning yoga classes.
The accommodations were nice, clean and comfortable, but nothing extravagant or luxe (or at least for our particular room). They are dog-friendly and have information here on their website about accommodating your fur baby during your stay. And if splashing or lounging at the pool is more your style, their pool is a lot of fun for the entire family, with easy viewing from all angles (important for those with younger children) There is also a poolside restaurant with staff at the ready to take your food and drink orders so you can continue to sit back and relax.
Be sure to visit their website for more detailed and specific information related to your time of visit, room rates, needs and interests.
