It’s so nice to wrap your hands around a great cup of coffee, be it early in the morning as you catch the sun rising, or at the end of long day to sooth the tension away. Wouldn’t you agree? And while we don’t claim to be coffee aficionados here at highlightable.com, or experts in soils, beans or optimum growing conditions, we do have an opinion when it comes to a great tasting cup of Joe.
We ordered their Club House South America Dark Roast, whole bean, because we just love the aroma and that emanates from of opening a fresh bag. Poured the beans into the hopper, pressed “start” on our Breville Grind Control Coffee Maker, and let the grind and pour magic happen.
Taste test time…and this was our first time trying anything from Good Walk Coffee Company. We have to say, it was smooth and delicious. Not too bitter or earthy (if that’s even a proper description) like some of the other big brands we’ve tried over the years. The bag indicates “smoky raspberry”, “dark chocolate” and “anise”, which may be why it tastes so good, but in all honesty, we’re not able to discern any of these flavors.
While we’re not golfers, we love how they centered their brand story around the sport of golf. On their website, they state their reason for having a golf coffee company is because it aligns with traits of honesty, character and fair play…the same traits that guide their company principles. You gotta’ love that. We just figured it was because most golfer’s we know are always up early when starting their day on the course, with a warm cup of coffee in hand. The caffeine kick and the warmth it gives your body, is the perfect start to any day.
